Working on day 2 of #nomorecomplaining . Have you tried it yet?!

It’s the easiest way to feel grateful and be happy. It’s amazing.

Do you know those people that are so miserable that they actually seem to enjoy it? Maybe because its comfortable to them and they are afraid of change.

Here’s the problem with normalcy: It actually propagates more anxiety because one is never moving forward.

If you are someone who enjoys misery then just stop it. Right now. Stop wasting yours and everybody else’s time being bound by your beliefs of who you are, what you can do, and what you can do. Let your shit go. Give yourself up to limitless potential and see what happens.

Today I wanted to see if I could go the whole day without complaining about ANYTHING. Any remote negativity is also a complaint.

Here’s how it went down…

@kevbike 2 complaints
1. Tragically had his sunglasses taken away by the ocean a few weeks ago. Complained about not having good sunglasses to wear.
2. He just started to complain that I was writing about his complaint about the sunglasses. (Ps sunglasses in pic are apparently not the good ones)

Me: one complaint
1. We had our apt window open a crack and a fly flew in. I yelled “OMG EW A fly just came in!” Any negativity is kind of a complaint 😁

Anyways… $3 in the mason jar for the complaints.
Did anyone else try this today?
Let’s do the whole week now.

I like to think that I don’t complain about anything. I think we all do. Life is really good.

But sometimes we complain about minor things. This morning I was complaining about my hamstring hurting because I over stretched it, and Kevin was complaining about an excel sheet he was working on that kept freezing up.

I remember @geraldsaluti posting something similar awhile back, so we’ve decided to try to not complain this entire day. Not about one single thing.

Any complaints will result in a dollar being donated into a mason jar. Who knows where those funds will go. We haven’t decided yet.

Join @kevbike and I today! Anytime you want to complain, instead talk about something you are GRATEFUL for. Let’s not waste a single moment of our breath on pettiness.

Today I am grateful for sunshine, health, and a clean apartment :)

Psychologically, inverted yogic practice make us feel “my whole world has been turned upside down”. If we could get used to that feeling, it would not be such a drama when our lives are overturned. If we turn things upside down, voluntarily and regularly, it’s less of a shock when that happens without a warning. ❤
